Our next exhibition: Celebrating Clare: Past and Present
We are excited to announce that our next exhibition will be “Celebrating Clare: Past and Present” which will tell the history of our town’s celebrations; carnivals and festivals. If you have any information, items or photographs that we could exhibit, please get in touch. We are also looking for keen history enthusiasts to help us with our research. What is inside...
The medieval pilgrim with his signature cloak, walking stick and hat (showing 3 badges attached), and a large replica of the badge for St Edmund. Part of the exhibition on Elizabeth de Burgh, who made several pilgrimages in her lifetime. She, however, would have travelled by coach or carriage.
